Svenska: Vy över Äppelviken, "Vue af Äppelviken," Bromma, Stockholm, oljemålning av Johan Zacharias Blackstadius 1856. Till vänster på oljemålningen syns Stora Sjövillan. Brodern Lars Fredrik Blackstadius, som var bryggare och destillator, köpte 1857 torpet Äppelvikens gård. 1847 hade han låtit uppföra ett bränneri i det som idag kallas Stora Sjövillan, beläget strax sydost om Äppelvikens gård.
Stockholms stadsmuseum: "Denna lantliga idyll där korna betar på stränderna är idag en del av Brommas äldre villabebyggelse. Från 1870-talet var viken med sina sommarnöjen mycket attraktiv för sommargäster. Det grå huset uppe i backen är Äppelvikens gård. Huset finns kvar på Äppelviksvägen 31, nuvarande fastighetsbeteckning är Flyttblocket 3. Hit till Äppelviken flyttade på 1840-talet konstnärens bror, bryggaren Lars Fredrik Blackstadius. Han lät senare bygga Stora Sjövillan där han tillverkade brännvin. Det grå huset uppe i backen är Äppelvikens gård. Huset finns kvar på Äppelviksvägen 31, nuvarande fastighetsbeteckning är Flyttblocket 3. Hit till Äppelviken flyttade på 1840-talet konstnärens bror, bryggaren Lars Fredrik Blackstadius. English: View from Äppelviken, Bromma, Stockholm, oil painting by Johan Zacharias Blackstadius in 1856. To the left on the oil painting is Stora Sjövillan (The large lake villa). His brother Lars Fredrik Blackstadius, who was a brewer and distiller, bought the courtyard Äppelvikens gård in 1857. In 1847, he had a distillery built in what today is called Stora Sjövillan, located just southeast of Äppelviken's courtyard.
