Description
English: Illustration of the author's theory that sunspots are caused by meteors, specifically the Leonid swarm, which in turn are periodically disturbed by close encounters with Saturn.


The author candidly adds "Let me tell you frankly that other astronomers have not as yet looked with a very friendly eye on this idea: I think they will come round in time...". His hope was not fulfilled.
