Ainsi (fig. 33), soit une voûte d'arête sur plan carré; le rabattement du formeret étant ab, et celui de l'arc ogive cd, si chaque rang de moellons donne sur le formeret les divisions ae, ef, fg, etc., on aura reporté ces mêmes divisions sur l'arc ogive de c en l, de l en m, etc. On aura ainsi (ces divisions étant égales) un plus grand nombre de largeurs de rangs de moellons sur l'arc ogive que sur le formeret. Réunissant donc les points e'l', f'm', etc., on aura la direction de ces rangs de moellons qui en o viendront se rencontrer sur la ligne

des clefs ...
