Description
English: USGS scientist Jon Denner looks at the electronic equipment associated with a stream gauge on the Von Guerard Stream in the McMurdo Dry Valleys, the largest ice-free area in Antarctica. The Dry Valleys are the site of various research projects, including a long-term, multi-disciplinary program funded by the National Science Foundation that studies the interconnections between the soils, lakes, glaciers, biology, hydrology and climate.
