Description One of our largest Hoverflies here in the UK, and an impressive hornet mimic. Here photographed enjoying a late afternoon drink on the Buddleia in my garden (Ipswich, VC25 East Suffolk, TM166450) on 15 July 2015. ID confirmed by Ian Andrews in Facebook UK Hoverflies group.
