Summary
[edit]DescriptionVoltaic cup pile demonstration.jpg |
English: Voltaic pile demonstration in "cup crown" configuration (only one cup element). Used electrolyte is vinegar instead of the harmful sulphuric acid. This single element's generated voltage (0.95 V in open circuit) and current (4 to 2 mA when shorted) are enough to power a greetings card melody generator, which draws only 0.25 mA, but can't lit a lamp bulb nor a LED.
