Description

St. Vincentiuskerk Volendam. De Vincentiuskerk staat op de plek waar in 1860 het eerste katholieke kerkje van Volendam werd gebouwd. In 1883 werd dit kerkje vergroot met een hoog opgetrokken priesterkoor. De kerk is gebouwd in neo-barokke stijl, met rondbogen en vierkante pilaren. In 1908 werd de kerk verder vergroot. De voorgevel op het Kerkplein is gebouwd in de stijl van begin vorige eeuw. Het orgel in de kerk, afkomstig uit de voormalige Sint Annakerk in Amsterdam, is in 1999 grondig gerestaureerd.

The church is located on the spot where in 1860 the first catholic church of Volendam was built. In 1883 and in 1908 the church was enlarged. It is built in a neo baroque style.

The organ is originating from the former St Anna Church in Amsterdam and restored in 1999.
