Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Volcanic tuff is a clastic-textured, extrusive igneous rock. It is supposed to be well-sorted (this sample has some grain size disparity). The rock is basically a solidified volcanic ash deposit. Volcanic tuff and volcanic breccia (= the poorly-sorted equivalent to volcanic tuff) result from explosive volcanic eruptions.

Stratigraphy: unrecorded / undisclosed (probably Tertiary - possibly Eocene)

Locality: unrecorded / undisclosed site supposedly near the town of Cripple Creek, Colorado, USA
