| Description |
In the somewhat derelict (having survived the almost total devestation of Halberstadt in 1945) area of Vogtei, among the half-timbered houses, the tram route no 2 used to reverse in a triangle, accompanied by much screaming of flanges on rails which echoed around the ancient buildings. A two car set is backing into the late afternoon sunlight prior to resuming the gutter running back across town. The motor car looks like no 48. Is there an assistant at the back of the trailer car assisting in the reversal <a href="http://home.arcor.de/heuer.c/gothawagen/staedte/halberstadt/tabellehalberstadt.html" rel="nofollow">car 48 was a 1968 Gotha awagon built by CKD in Prague</a> For a 1968 photo in this area (little changed in 1990) see <a href="https://www.panoramio.com/photo/41205248" rel="nofollow">here</a> |
