Linear cutting explosive charges Semtex Razor
Lineare Schneidladung Semtex Razor
Summary
[edit]DescriptionVoecklabruck-flexible linear shaped explosive charge-with stand off-02ASD.jpg |
English: Linear cutting explosive charges "Semtex Razor" for explosive separation of objects. Ignition from two sides (narrow side) doubles the cutting effect. The separation cut is made along the cutting charge (blue), whereby the correct distance of the explosive from the object (stand off) is very important (see spacer). The blast site must be cleaned thoroughly before blasting. The detonators may only be inserted very slightly into the explosive in order to achieve the highest possible explosive effect. With Semtex Razor, the copper liner ("sword") is not made of rigid material, but rather of a type of copper paste. This makes the explosive charge easier to bend and easy to cut with a knife. Compared to other linear cutters, Semtex Razor requires a little more explosive to achieve comparable results. |
