Nederlands: Vlechtpriem of pèsò van de Kayan uit de Bovenste regio van de Mahakam. Deze priem werd gebruikt tijdens het vlechten van rotan om in het gevlochten werk plaats te maken voor de volgende rotan.
De greep stelt een gestileerde ‘aso’ kop voor. Aso betekend hond maar beeld eigenlijk altijd een draak figuur uit. Dit motief word in allerlei soorten voorwerpen en kunsten gebruikt als versiering. In het traditionele wereldbeeld van verschillende Dayak volken speelt het evenwicht tussen de bovenwereld en onderwereld een belangrijke rol. De bovenwereld werd beheerst door de neushoornvogel, burung enggang, die geassocieerd werd met de zon en de mannelijke wereld. De onderwereld werd beheerst door de waterslang (naga/draak), die werd geassocieerd met water en de vrouwelijke wereld. Door middel van allerlei rituelen werd het evenwicht tussen deze werelden in stand gehouden en de vruchtbaarheid van het land bevorderd (J. Ave & V.T. King, 1986. B. Sellato, 1989.
