| Description |
English: Vivian Institute, Torquay This early educational institution, a precursor of South Devon College, was founded in 1878. Edward Vivian was a local benefactor who helped found the Torquay Natural History Society. The pedimented brick facade with its ionic pilasters and cornice in sandstone overlooks Fleet Street from a position a yard or two up Braddons Hill Road West. The premises are now occupied by the Blu Cargo bar. |
