Summary

[edit]
Description
English: A Vito 'Model 35' alto saxophone. Made by E.Beaugnier et Cie in Mantes (near Paris, France) during the 1960s. Individual saxophone parts were sent to the USA and then assembled in Kenosha, Wisconsin. This was a tactic to reduce import duty. The Vito Model 35 is an unusual, professional-grade instrument with additional key-work which provides different fingering options e.g. the ability to drop notes fingered by the player's left hand by a full semitone, simply by fingering a low "E" using the middle finger on the player's right hand. Not many Vito Model 35s were made, so it is a comparatively rare saxophone.
