Para se ter acesso a praia é preciso percorrer uma trilha, mas para isso é preciso agendar o passeio no escritório do ICMbi, pois a visitação é controlada e existe um limite diário de pessoas que podem visitar essa atração, que só pode ser realizado durante a maré baixa. Existem dois tipo de passeio a trilha curta que possui 1,6 km, só faz uma parada em uma das piscinas naturais e a trilha longa que faz paradas em todas as piscinas naturais e possui 4,8 km. Dependendo da sorte é possível mergulhar com tubarões que ficaram presos no local na maré baixa.
