Summary
[edit]DescriptionVirginia Road, New Brighton (2).JPG |
English: Virginia Road, New Brighton, Merseyside, England. A one way street at the back of the Floral Pavilion Theatre and the New Palace amusement arcade.
In previous decades, the road was lined with bus stops, often busy with buses and passengers, effectively the terminus of routes from all over the Wirral Peninsula. In recent times, local bus services have been rationalised and now just a small number of routes terminate instead at King's Parade, mainly from Liverpool and Birkenhead. As all bus stops have been removed from Virginia Road, buses no longer travel down here at all and it has reverted back to a quiet residential street. |
