English: Violin, scroll head, four pegs, dark wood body, four strings intact, second fine tuner missing, attached chin rest appears to be one piece back, edges carved outside, purfling rounding very subtle, all has been touched up, vovlte scroll original (Kloz scroll only.) hand of scroll original, rest is not original, peg box complicatedly put in, ribs original - one piece of wood all the way around. (Tarolian) Italian influence, (influence more Southern Italy) possibly Austrian, broadness and shape irregular. 1 violin maker unknown, Tyrolian, late 18th century maple, spruce, rosewood, ebony, varnish, gut, length of back 354 mm labelled ‘Ægidius Klotz (illegible) - 1794’ 1998.60.238 Castle 367
