Genius einer Zenturie. Wien 1, Bauernmarkt 9, 1900. Marmor, 3. Jh. n. Chr. Genien galten als Schutzgottheiten der Kaiserfamilie, von Körperschaften oder Vereinen aber auch für bestimmte Orte. Sie sind häufig in militärischen Lagern und Kastellen belegt. Hier wurden ihre Weihestatuetten zum Schutz der Hauptgebäude und der Mannschaftsbaracken aufgestellt. Diese Geniusweihung des custos armorum (Waffenmeister) Iulius Proclianus stammt aus einer Kaserne der 1. Kohorte.
