Summary

[edit]
Description
English: Fitted to a Norman Nippy Moped, 1948. The Villiers Junior Deluxe (or JDL) was a 98cc 2-stroke engine designed for use with mopeds. It had a single gear, but with a cable operated clutch. The lower valve (underneath the spark plug) was a Release Valve which lowered the compression ratio to ease starting.
