| Description |
English: Village green, village sign and village hall There is also an old red telephone box; a postbox is set into the wall surrounding the village hall, a couple of metres beside it.
In the 17th century the village hall used to be a farmhouse; it was altered in 1850 but has retained a number of (now blocked) C17 mullioned windows. The Grade II listed building is bisected by the grid line, with only its western half being located within this grid square. The view was taken from the junction of High Street (seen at left) with Clarkes Lane. |
