Summary

[edit]
Description
English: We see the ruins of "Villa Aurelia" (right) located at the "Selle di Baranca", a mountain pass. In the distance, "Lake Baranca" at 1,824 meters altitude. The villa was built in 1908, designed by architect Costantino Gilodi (1853–1918).[1] It was later bought by the Lancia family (who came from Fobello); this is not far from Fobello, far north into the Alps of Italy (click on coordinates below). The villa was bombed/burned at the end of World War II, perhaps as a retaliation. The fog hides partially the top of the mountain. Taken with an Iphone.
