Title
English: A fully rigged ship in the Sound.
Dansk: Marine med fuldrigger i Øresund.
Object type painting
object_type QS:P31,Q3305213
Description
The experts at Bruun Rasmussen referred to the vessel as "the training ship Dannebrog". They seem to be the only ones who have heard about such a ship. In Denmark, young men were trained as sailors in the fully rigged ships Danmark and Georg Stage, but in 1944 there was a war on, and Danmark was in the United States, training sailors for the U.S. Coast Guard, and Georg Stage was moored in Isefjorden. Only Georg Stage had a black hull, and Arnesen would not have any problems remembering what she looked like under sail.

This is a faithful photographic reproduction of a two-dimensional, public domain work of art. The work of art itself is in the public domain for the following reason:
Public domain

The author died in 1948, so this work is in the public domain in its country of origin and other countries and areas where the copyright term is the author's life plus 75 years or fewer.

You must also include a United States public domain tag to indicate why this work is in the public domain in the United States. Note that a few countries have copyright terms longer than 75 years: Mexico has 100 years, Jamaica has 95 years, and Colombia has 80 years. This image may not be in the public domain in these countries, which moreover do not implement the rule of the shorter term.
The official position taken by the Wikimedia Foundation is that "faithful reproductions of two-dimensional public domain works of art are public domain".
This photographic reproduction is therefore also considered to be in the public domain in the United States. In other jurisdictions, re-use of this content may be restricted; see Reuse of PD-Art photographs for details.
