Nederlands: Objectgegevens Titel: Vijzel met latijnse tekst “SI DEUS PRONOBIS QUIS CONTRA NOS ANNO 1746” Beschrijving: Cilindrisch naar boven toe verwijdend lichaam opgebouwd uit verhoogde, geprofileerde voet, gladde wand met in het midden drie ribbels, hoge uitkragende bovenrand met opschrift. Profiel op overgang middendeel en uitkraging. Herkomst: De gemeente-apotheek in Rotterdam (1603-1993) maakte vanaf 1938 tot de privatisering deel uit van de G.G. en G.D. (later GGD) van de gemeente Rotterdam. In 1940 werd het pand van de gemeente-apotheek op de Hoogstraat tijdens het bombardement verwoest. Uit de puinhopen zijn volgens de bronnen alleen enkele vijzels gered. In 1941 werd een nieuwe apotheek betrokken in het Gebouw voor de Volksgezondheid aan de Baan (en later Schiedamsedijk). Rond 1993 werd de instelling geprivatiseerd.
