Nederlands: Identificatie Titel(s): Vijf taferelen uit het Oude Testament Objecttype: toverlantaarnplaat Objectnummer: BK-NM-3334-C Omschrijving: Vijf ronde glaasjes met taferelen uit het Oude Testament in een houten vatting. Het glas uiterst links: Jakob brengt zijn broer Esau een kom linzensoep in ruil voor het eerstgeboorterecht. Esau achter een tafel met wit tafellaken, Jakob komt links van hem met de soep aan. Het glas rechts daarvan: Jakob droomt van de trap naar de hemel. Jakob ligt op de voorgrond te slapen, op de achtergrond komen engelen langs de trap naar beneden. Op het middelste glas: Jakob worstelt met de engel. Op het glas rechts daarvan: twee mannen omhelzen elkaar, op de achtergrond een stoet mensen. Stelt waarschijnlijk de verzoening van Jakob en Esau voor. Op het glas uiterst rechts: Jozef vlucht weg van de vrouw van Potifar. De vrouw, rechts naakt op een bed, houdt Jozef aan zijn mantel vast terwijl deze naar links weg probeert te lopen. Jacob wrestles with the angel (or man) till daybreak; Jacob's thigh is put out of joint. Esau runs to meet Jacob and kisses him.
