Nederlands: De A-batterij van 41 Afdeling Artillerie van het VuursteunCommando oefent tijdens haar eFP-rotatie volop. Deel uitmakend van de multinationale battlegroup in Rukla pakken de artilleristen alle trainingsmogelijkheden die ze pakken kunnen. Oefening Vigilant Wolf was er een van. “De onbekendheid van het terrein zorgt in Litouwen voor de grootste uitdaging”, geeft Van Oorsouw (niet te zien op de foto, red.) ruiterlijk toe. “We zijn gewend aan het trainen in relatief bekende gebieden en hier zijn we pas voor het eerst. Daarnaast is het pittig om te integreren in de battlegroup, waar ze al jarenlang gewend zijn aan een Nederlandse infanteriecompagnie. In plaats daarvan staat er nu ineens een batterij pantserhouwitsers.” |
