Description
English: The canton of Valais is really famous, all around Switzerland, to be really dry. Here we can see that it is sometimes slightly cloudy, with a still big blue sky and yellow sun. Valais can remain without rain during several weeks in summer. This is due to the very big mountains surrounding the Rhone valley (in Valais), which stop the clouds from the canton of Bern (in the North) and from Italy (in the South). [Nevertheless, I noted that Valais is becoming more and more wet those last years, probably due to the climate changes.]
