Description
English: Periyar WLS is one of the first protected areas for Elephants for their protection. The elephants which were hunted by the erstwhile kings and British officers. This photograph was shot when on a forest trek through the Periyar WLS. And this skeleton of the bison has been placed by the forest guides as a route marker and a spot for a break after a two hours of trek. Found the unusual location marker a excellent point to provide a view of the man-made lake in the background.
