English: Black and white photographic view of the main house at Rosewell Plantation, Gloucester County, Virginia, showing one of the brick dependencies. Rosewell was constructed prior to 1730, and was among the largest and most sophisticated homes in the American colonies. This photograph, by an unknown photographer, is from 'Domestic Architecture of the American Colonies and of the Early Republic," by Fiske Kimball, published by Charles Scribner's Sons, New York, 1922.
