(26.99 cm x 38.42 cm) Publisher: Nishimuraya Yohachi Credit Line: Bequest of Mrs. Cora Timken Burnett Label Copy: "This actor portrayed the role of the fox in the play Yoshitsune and the Thousand Cherry Trees (Yoshitsune senbon zakura). He holds the magical drum that Lady Shizuka (11651211) would beat when she wished to call on him for help. Lady Shizuka, the court dancer and lover of the samurai warrior Yoshitsune, with the help of the fox Tadanobu, assisted Yoshitsune in overcoming enemy spies sent by his brother and rival, the Shogun. " Label Copy (Spanish): "Este actor interpret el papel del zorro en la obra teatral Yoshitsune y los mil cerezos (Yoshitsune senbon zakura).
