日本語: 景ノ出搬蔗甘糖製社里埔(灣臺)
中文(臺灣):清治晚期至日治初期,埔里社一帶即開始以舊式糖廍製糖,但產值不豐。日明治40年(1907年),日人藤澤靜象等人將原民間的舊糖廍改建為新式糖廠,合併為「埔里社製糖合資會社」。到大正5年(1916),因埔里盆地遭洪水侵襲,損失慘重,遂併入台灣製糖株式會社成為台灣製糖會社,改名為「埔里社製糖所」。百年前因為埔里甘蔗製糖產業的興盛,不但改變了埔里的耕作形態,也因為土地的利用、買賣,及民間企業的整合,帶來大量人口的移入,對埔里盆地的傳統經濟結構、社會形態、交通等產生巨大的影響。 圖為大正初年印行的「(臺灣)埔里社製糖甘蔗搬出ノ景」寫真明信片,是以前採收甘蔗後,工人以A型架搬運甘蔗的珍貴影像。
