English: View of Bakewell to the South West. Up a path from Coombs Road near to Bakewell golf course you get this fantastic view of the town of Bakewell. The church was built around 1220AD with the spire added in 1340AD although it was virtually rebuilt in the 19th century. There was a Saxon church on that site as early as 920AD |
