English: View from the Observation Lounge, WWT Caerlaverock An early evening view of the Wildfowl and Wetlands Trust reserve at Caerlaverock, with the (old) Saltcot Tower observatory in the far distance. The pile of old logs has a practical role: peanut butter and other goodies are smeared onto the logs for the badgers who come and get their treats later on in the evening. Resident visitors can enjoy the spectacle from the (unlit) observation lounge. |
