| Description |
English: View from Picket Corner to Studley Head, New Forest. At the northernmost end of the Islands Thorns Inclosure is Picket Corner, which is surrounded by a holly holm (which provides the shade in the foreground). This view, looking roughly east, is towards another holly holm on higher ground. Browsing of the lower branches by cattle, deer and ponies means that you can see blue sky at ground level in the holm. |
