| Description |
English: View from Chester's City Walls near County Hall. Viewed from the same position as photo 369499 , these functional buildings are part of the War Department's legacy. The tall square tower in the centre of the photo is the 12th century Agricola Tower, which is the oldest part of the Chester Castle complex. The tower has some 13th century wall paintings in the old chapel and is accessed from the Castle Square; it is regularly open to visitors. |
