Summary

[edit]
Description

"Mixed Emotion: Concern for the future of her child and herself is mirrored in this Vietnamese mother’s face. She has just left her village as requested by Marines conducting Operation Bold Mariner. Soon her doubts will be resolved as the Leathernecks fly her away from the danger of the battle zone to the haven of a relocation camp. After the battle passes, she and her neighbors will be returned to their homes, free of the Viet Cong (official USMC photo by Staff Sergeant Bob Jordan)."
