Description
English: 1733518 Trooper (Tpr) Allan David Stanton (left), and 3792383 Tpr Barry Raymond Hobbs, both of B Squadron, 3rd Cavalry Regiment, search the area of a successful night ambush in which eleven Viet Cong (VC) were killed. The dead bodies of the VC killed lie on the road. In the background are the gates of the abandoned village of Thua Tich which is situated 15 miles north east of the 1st Australian Task Force (1ATF) base at Nui Dat. Later in the day the Australians foiled an attempted enemy ambush killing five.
