Description

"Victory daze" by Erik Pevernagie, oil on canvas, 100 x 80 cm

Important is not so much our place in the theater of the world but our acceptance in the theater of our inner self.

We react to a depression of nothingness and convert inaction into energy when we show resilience and bounce back to bad luck. When we punch the air, the big bang of victory may liberate neural enhancement. As emptiness is turned into shape, victory restores self-esteem and upholds the self-importance.

The winning spirit may be created through painful energy, much hardship, and many deprivations. Victory is the sublimation of the ego.

On the other end of the spectrum, there are those who just want to sit back. Labor is not a value. Laziness is a right. “An” employment is not an asset, only “fun” employment is a value. “Workers of the world unite and make fun” ( Paul Lafargue). Idleness is the only goal and idleness should be paid for by the community.

Come what may; important is when we find an answer to the question: do we feel at home with ourselves?

Phenomenon: victory, idleness, work
