| Description |
English: Victoria Pier Extension, Douglas Corporation Tramways In the early 1960s, (possibly in connection with a Royal visit), Douglas Corporation built a short extension of its tramway towards the Victoria Pier. In fact the extension saw very little use, (it was said that the horses knew quite well where the tramway should end, and refused point-blank to go the extra few yards!), so photographs of it with a tram on it are quite rare. Here car No 32, complete with horse, prepares for the return journey to Derby Castle. |
