Deutsch: Römische Gemme aus rotem Jaspis, 12,7 mm breit, 2. Jh. n. Chr.: Victoria (Kopf und Brust fehlen). Fundort: Augsburg, Stephansgasse 7 (1992). Aufbewahrungsort: Augsburg, Römisches Museum, Inv. 1992.5765. Die im Profil dargestellte Siegesgöttin Victoria schwebt (auf Zehenspitzen) nach links. Rechts sind ihre Flügel zu sehen, und hinter ihren Beinen bauscht oder bläht sich das Gewand durch die Bewegung. Links hält sie in der einen Hand einen über die Schulter gelegten Palmzweig, in der anderen einen Siegeskranz (oben teilweise abgebrochen). Vor ihr auf dem Boden liegt ein Rundschild. Friedberg 2012, S. 37 Nr. 10 Solche Victoria-Darstellungen sind in allerlei Varianten durchaus zahlreich in der römischen Kunst zu finden (schwebend oder gehend oder stehend, auf einem Globus oder auf einem Schiffsbug oder ohne etwas unter den Füßen, Palmzweig links oder Palmzweig rechts, nach links gewendet wie in Augsburg oder spiegelverkehrt, ...). Da die Augsburger Gemme nur als Bruchstück erhalten ist, können Vergleichsbeispiele helfen, sich eine Vorstellung von der vollständigen Darstellung (mit Kopf und Brust) zu machen:

Hier bauscht sich das Gewand nach hinten auf.
Ein Schild (Rundschild).
Die Flügel der Göttin sind hinter ihrem Rücken (= rechts im Bild) zu sehen.
Victoria hat einen Arm vor sich erhoben (= links im Bild) und hält einen Siegeskranz nach oben.
Die andere Hand hält ein weiteres Siegesattribut, den über die Schulter gelegten Palmzweig. Von diesem sehen wir hier noch das untere Ende.
Absplitterung (Beschädigung).
Der obere Teil der Gemme mit Kopf und Brust der Siegesgöttin Victoria ist nicht erhalten.
