Description
English: Vice Admiral Krishna Swaminathan, COS, WNC and the Chairman, Regional Contingency Committee (West), visited the ICW Processing Complex of ONGC in Mumbai High on 11 November 2021. The visit was aimed at enhancing coordination between Indian Navy and ONGC on offshore security and defence. Discussions conducted on the occasion included aspects related to functioning of processing platforms, prevailing offshore security considerations and the existing cooperative mechanisms between the Navy and ONGC to manage offshore contingencies. The visit also aimed at strengthening security in the wider Offshore Development Area ODA. ONGC officials also conducted a familiarisation walk around of the ICW platform for the benefit of the visiting naval team.
