Description
English: Caption text says "By finishing first in the 116-mile bicycle race at Patterson [N.]J., Sunday, Victor Hopkins of Davenport gained a place on the American Olympic team which sails for France June 16. Hopkins was reared at the Soldiers' Orphans home in Davenport and he is only 19 years old. He was trained by Worth Mitten, another Davenporter who won fame in the six-day bicycle races a decade ago."
