Summary
[edit]DescriptionVezir Han courtyard in 2004 4766.jpg |
English: The han belongs to the Köprülü Külliyesi, the complex of buildings started in 1662 by Köprülü Mehmed Pasha, one of the grand viziers of the Mehmed era. It then consisted of a classroom-masjid (dârülkurrâ), madrasah rooms (dârülhadis), shops, a fountain, a tomb and a public fountain. Later, a library and the Vizier Inn, built by his son Grand Vizier Fâzıl Ahmed Pasha before 1676, were added to these. |
