Description
Português: Mapa indicando as áreas onde foram encontrados os principais vestígios romanos, junto à vila de Aljustrel, na região do Alentejo, em Portugal. Estão representados a localização provável do povoado, a necrópole de Valdoca, o conjunto de edifícios residenciais conhecidos como "Casa do Procurador", e o chapéu de ferro, um grupo de rochas muito oxidadas, que constituem a parte à superfície de um jazigo mineral, que foi explorado pelos romanos. No canto inferior direito estão os tanques de lixiviação romanos em Feitais / Azinhal, onde se produzia cemento de cobre a partir da reacção química entre ferro-velho e água ácida rica em cobre.
English: Map indicating the main areas where roman traces were found, near the town of Aljustrel, in southern Portugal. The "povoado" indicates the probable location of the village, the "Necrópole de Valdoca" is the necropolis, the "Casa do Procurador" is a group of residential buildings, and the "chapéu de ferro" indicates the gossan / iron cap, an exposed and heavily corroded part of a iron deposit, explored by the romans. In the southeastern corner are the roman leaching tanks, where cement copper was produced when copper-rich water was exposed to scrap iron.
