Joseph W, Vestai, & Son's Ii.i,ustrated and Descriptive Catai^ogue. 17 THE BEAUTIFUL TULIP ROSE
Text Appearing After Image:
e. The Beautiful Tulip Rose, Mad. de Watteville. This grand variety, some- times called, the Tulip Rose, is one of the most beautiful varieties we have ever sent out, and is very larg^ely planted by those who know its beauty. The color is a remarkable shade of cresLinj yellow, richly colored with rosy blush; the petals are larg-e and each one widely bordered with bright crimson, which g-ives it a very striking- and beautiful appearance. The flowers are large, very full and hig-hly perfumed. For planting- in the open ground Mad. de Watteville takes front rank, being a har- dy, vigorous g-rower, standing- e sun and weather well; a profuse bloomer, and unsur- passed for cutting-. Price for nice young plants, 15 cents each ; 4 for 50 cents. Mad. de Watteville. A Magnificent New Everblooming" Climber, Climbing^ Souv. de AVootton. This splen- did new variety is a sport from that famous rose, Souv. de Wootton, and is identical with it except that it is a strong-, rampant climber, and produc- ing- in wonderful profusion its superbly formed flowers, which are bright mag-enta red, passing to violet crimson, richly shaded. The flowers are large, full and regular, with thick, leathery petals, and deliciously tea scented. Truly this is a mag- nificent and valuable new rose. Price, 15 cents each, The Grand New Rose, Ciimbiug Maliliaisoii. This rose is an ex- act counterpart of Malmaison in foliage and flower, but is a rampant climber. You cannot tell the flower or foliage from that old time, tried and true variety, Malmaison. It will be a welcome addition wherever climbing roses are planted. Just imag- ine a rose climbing oVer the side of your house or enclosing your veranda in its luxuriant foliage, bearing flesh colored roses of immense size, and double to the center. We can cheerfully recom- mend this rose to all our patrons. Price, 15 cents each.
