28 Joseph W. Vkstai, & Son's Ii.i.usTRAfED and Dkscrip'Tive; Catai^ogue. Six Prize Ulinnimj Cbrv$<intbcmum$ for 50 Cents. We take pleasure in offering this superb set of chrysanthemums at so low a price, and hope all our customers will take advantag-e of it. All the varieties have won either medals or prizes at the different shows, and without taking- the price into consideration they are the best six we could possibly select. These plants produced flowers last fall that sold in our city for $2.00 and $3.00 per dozen blooms. Autumn Glory. There is nothing like it in color, which is a deep reddish salmon upon opening, and gradually changes to a soft shrimp pink when fully finished. The flowers are of the largest size, and take on great depth. This variety has no tovich of lavender in its color, but is a decided and new shade that is verv beautiful. Price, 15 cents each. Black Hawk. The largest and most beautiful dark crimson scarlet yet introduced ; looks like crimson vel- vet ; the very shade so much desired in chrysanthemums ; flowers of im- mense size on fine stiff stems. Price, J5 cents each. Sunstone. A strong growing, large flowered variety of very pretty color- ing. Bright yellow, shading to red at the base of petals ; reverse of petals light buff. Very desirable because of its robust constitution and large, bril- liant colored flowers. Price, 15 cents each.

Western King". In the entire chrysanthemum family there is no grander white variety, no matter when it blooms. It is the most popular style, immense incurving, broad, chan- neled petals of great substance and the purest white; a perfect ball of snow. It is 16 to 18 inches in circumference. We think this variety does not posses a single fault. Price, 20 cents each. Pennsylvania. Deep primrose yel- low, sport of Philadelphia. Identical with Philadelphia in every respect save its color, which is a great improvement. Stem and foliage perfect, and flower of largest size and most perfect form. This variety may be characterized as immense; a magnificent second early variety. Price, 20 cents each. Wm. H. Cliadwick. The grandest novelty of the year; an immense, graceful bloom, waxy white, occasionally tinted pink; growth, habit, stem and foliage simply perfect. It cannot be praised too highly. Price, 15 cents each. Sunstone. The Famous "OSTRICH PLUME" Clirysantliemums. THEY NOW CONTAIN WHITE, PINK, YELLOW AND RED, MAKING THE MOST NOVEL AND HANDSOME CHRYSANTHEMUMS GROWN. The Queen of "Ostrich Plumes," Mrs. Hig'glnbotham. This chrysanthemum is far ahead of any " Ostrich Plume " so far introduced, and is sure to increase the popularity of this beau- tiful plant. The color is a bright pink, changing to a soft pink as the flowers advance in age. The flowers are of enormous size, often over ten inches in diameter, borne on strong, vigorous stalks. It has the same wonderful hairlike growth as the other varieties in this section. Price, 15 cents each. White Ostrich Plume Chrysanthemum, White Swan. It is of immense size, broad pet- als and incurved, the surface being downy, like loose piled plush. The entire flower seems frosted with glittering white. Its unique character con- sists in its fine, downy appearance, which is pro- duced by the glandular hairs which cover the pet- als, which has been frequently described by the press as producing a fluffy effect, similar to an ostrich feather. Price, 15 cents each. One each of the above set of " Ostrich Yellow Ostrich Plume Chrysanthemum, Golden Plume. The flewers are very large, of a beautiful clear golden yellow, incurved and cov- ered with golden yellow hairs. The plant is vig- orous in growth, and the flower is borne upright on a stout stem. Price, 15 cents each. The Red and Gold "Ostrich Plume," Mad. F. Cayeux. This variety is the nearest approach to the " red and gold" type of chrysan- themums among the "Ostrich Plume" set. Of the very grandest size. The color is a deep ruby red of beautiful shade, each of its raylike needle shaped petals faced and tipped with old gold, which are carried erect on stiffs stems. Price, 15c each. The New Bronze Ostrich Plume, Rac- hais. This beautiful new variety is of a deep reddish bronze, shaded and marked in scarlet. The enormous size, grand form and heavy plumes make this one of the finest flowers of this class. It is a decided advance in color, and adds much to this strange type. Price, 15 cents each. Plume" Chrysanthemums for 50 cents.
