English: Very short platforms at Gilfach Fargoed railway station
Viewed from Angel Lane bridge. At about 15 metres long, the platforms here are among the shortest on the UK railway network. Only one carriage door of the train see here is alongside the platform. The station was built as a halt by the Rhymney Railway in 1908. It is on the Rhymney Line between Pengam and Bargoed. |
