Summary

[edit]
Description

This striking slice is of NWA 859, or Taza as it is also known, is notable for the extremely fine Widmanstätten pattern that appears when slices are polished and etched. The pattern is so fine that the crystallites look like tiny "stars" or frost on a window.

This is a complete slice that shows fusion crust/oxidation all around the perimeter.
