Originale Bildunterschrift: Die Versuchsbühne der Deutschen Theater-Ausstellung Stand des Baus am 28. März. Rechts und links der Versuchsbühne ist ein Teil der grossen Doppelhallen sichtbar, im Hintergrunde der Adolf-Mittag-See

Aufnahme vermutlich von Rudolf Hatzold, Er war offizieller Fotograf der Ausstellung und hat eine Vielzahl von Bildern der Ausstellung gemacht und veröffentlicht. Dies auch in der Zeitschrift Vierte Wand der Ausstellung, in der fraglichen Ausgabe gibt es aber keinen Hinweis zu einer Urheberschaft. Seine Urheberschaft ist sehr wahrscheinlich.
