Čeština: Bronzová pamětní deska umístěná (napravo od vchodu) na čelní stěně budovy Právnické fakulty Univerzity Karlovy na Náměstí Curieových čp. 901/7 Praha 1 Staré Město je věnovaná popraveným českým bojovníkům v květnovém povstání 1945 v okolí Právnické fakulty UK v Praze a na blízkém mostě Svatopluka Čecha. Jejím autorem je akademický sochař Jan Znoj. Deska je datovaná rokem 1946. V centrální části pamětní desky je reliéf znázorňující scénu popravy českých bojovníků nacistickými vojáky na veristicky zachyceném secesním zábradlí Čechova mostu.
English: A bronze memorial plaque (right from the main door) on the front of the building of the Law Faculty at Charles University Square Curieových no. 901/7 Prague 1 Old Town. The memorial plaque is dedicated to Czech anti german heroes (nine fighters) which were killed during the May uprising in 1945 near the Faculty of Law of Charles University in Prague and on the bridge of Svatopluk Čech. Its author is Czech sculptor Jan Znoj. Memorial plaque is dated 1946. In the central part of the memorial plaque is a relief depicting the scene of executions Czech heroes by Nazi soldiers. Author shows the execution on the realistic place in front of railing of the bridge. |
