Description
Deutsch: Innenansicht des Chores von St. Nikolaus in Veringenstadt nach der Renovation 1957.

Der große und schwere Hochaltar aus Trientiner Marmor mit seiner Monumentalität und klaren Form beherrscht den ganzen Chorraum. Das in den Altar eingelassene Relief „Isaaks Opferung“ ist eine Arbeit des Bildhauers Steidle aus Schwenningen a. d. Heuberg 1956. In das sepulcrum (Grab) des Hauptaltares wurde eine Reliquie des hl. Märtyrer-Papstes Fabian († um 250) eingemauert.

Die Schlichtheit des Raumes soll die Konzentration auf das Wesentliche erleichtern.
