Description
Français : Gare de Verdun (Meuse, France) : plaque apposée sur la façade
English: Verdun (Meuse, France) train station : plaque on the facade.
Translation : Built by Eiffel in 1868, Verdun train station, transformed in regular hospital, evacuated thousands of injured people between 1914 and 1916. It was the starting point, on 11/10/1920, of the train to Paris which brought the body of the Unknown Soldier, who lies under the Arc de Triomphe.
